PASTOR JOHN DAUTENHAHN RETIREMENT RECOGNITION

Hope Lutheran Chapel in Osage Beach, Mo. invites you to attend a retirement recognition event at the Pavilion of Hope Chapel Beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2005. See note on the bulletin board by the mailboxes. There is a RSVP regarding your attendance of this event and needs to be in by August 10th. Your letters should be included in the response. Copies of the RSVP sheet can be obtained from the office.

ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH AND SCHOOL - On the bulletin board by the mail box is information about their parochial school. If you have a child or children who you wish to send to Zion Lutheran School we have the tuition and fees information and sign up sheet for the school, plus school calendar and a listing of different activities for the school. If you need an enrolling sheet you can obtain one from the office here in church.

Choir to restart in September:  We will be restarting Choir in September.  Plan now to join us on Wednesday evenings for practice as we prepare to Praise the Lord and help . . .

SATURDAY GREEK INSTRUCTION

Concordia Seminary beginning September 10, 2005 will have class sessions on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

• Prospective Students
  Those contemplating seminary enrollment. 
  Laity (men and women who wish to gain a valuable tool for Bible study.

• Eligibility - Students must have completed 48 semester hours (72 quarter hours) of college course credit from accredited colleges/ universities prior to enrollment.

• Financial Assistance - generous financial assistance exists in order to encourage participation.

Congratulations: UNITED IN HOLY MATRIMONY on July 13th Laura Friedrich and Mike Robertson were married on the Saint Croix, Virgin Island.  We wish them God's blessings.  They will reside in the St. Louis area.

TRANSFER IN - We welcomed into our congregation Florence Hill from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Fairfield, IA. Florence is returning to Boonville after living in Iowa.  She was a member here in the late 1980's and early 1990's.  We are glad to have her back with us!

Returned to Active Duty Status:  Dale Kaiser has been returned to active duty status and assigned to Ft. Greeley, Alaska.  We keep the entire family in our prayers as Dale, Michelle and children depart for Alaska on August 15th for three years of military duty.

Thrivent Thank you - We wish to thank all those who helped with the Breck Campbell Fundraiser. We appreciate all the hard work that went into this fundraiser and all those who helped contribute to this great cause.

Thank you - When we sat down to write a thank you we were baffled by the large outpouring of support from our family here at Immanuel. We asked how could so many people have such an interest in one little girl. We decided to Look to God’s word for that answer. We found it in Philippians 2: 2-4.

Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

We want to send a special thank you to our family that was like minded, shared one love, and had one spirit and purpose. We succeeded, Breck will soon be getting her computer GODS BLESSINGS TO YOU!!!!
